Yes. You can have multiple app servers (an xdbc server and odbc server in this 
case) pointing to the same database. You do not need to change anything to the 
database configuration. You can create these application servers using 
MarkLogic Administration UI under Groups --> <Group Name> --> App Servers. 
Specify the database you want associated with your app server.

I have a question.
Can we have both xdbc and odbc app servers listening on the same database?
If yes then do we have to make any changes to the database apart from default
