Bill, Thanks for explaining that I was discussing 2 different things. I knew I was lost.
I have made the two changes you mentioned in configuring qjide.py and I then got a beautiful browser window with 3 frames. I can see that the bottom right frame takes J code. But I cannot tell how to execute plots or viewmats.
