Back then, I was jumping down rabbit holes here, and on Kent Beck’s original (pre vandalism) WikiWiki. A link to the killer app I was imagining back then is still preserved at http://wiki.c2.com/?JimRussell. I am embarrassed to see that I listed J as one of my languages. Back then I 1. had been productive in APL and a bunch of other programming languages, 2. had been introduced to, and could see the advances made by J, 3. was confident I could become productive with J with just a little bit more practice.
