Julian - Yes, I am using WSL. Thanks for the step-by-step. I still have to figure out how to better communicate between Windows and Ubuntu - they do not share a clipboard and Ubuntu is blind to files I create (or update) under Windows until a reboot - but now that I have J and emacs working, it's only a matter of time before I come up with something. Maybe FTP or TCP?
