The font at the bottom of the ASF logo, as you'll see if
you peek in the svg, is actually the same as the title, but they p u t
e x t r a s p a c e s i n[1]!! Someone (who can remain anonymous) sent
me a copy of ITC Officina; I've not used it, even though its nicer
because (a) its not a free font, and would mean anyone who wanted to
make the logos would need an svg-ized version of the font, which (b)
ain't exactly legal, and (c) Batik wouldn't show me it (it was an adobe
font, batik only seemed happy with ttf).
Oh well, it seems that the font you are using is nice enough...
Batik can't deal with Type1 fonts? That's a shame.
I've attached the png so folk who can't view the svg. I don't actually
have any graphics tools on this machine (I dont count MS paint!!) so I
can't do the reduced-colour gif like you made before - anyway, I'm not a
committer so I'll leave that bit to you?

Looks good to me. I love Officina, but if it is impractical that is
fine, as long as things are consistent. (Although at 21 bucks a face
I'll buy the project a copy if neccesary =)
Not sure about the legality if you turn the text into paths, isn't that
within the license you get when you buy the font?
Hmmm, probably it should be legal...
Anyway, if we go with this version I can happily withdraw my objection.
