This is scheduled to coincide with members meetings which, in turn, are scheduled to coincide with ApacheCons. That's why it is very important for members who can't make it to ApacheCons to fill out proxy statements.
I believe I was the one who nominated the most new members at the last meeting. Hopefully, more people will do the same at the next one.
