The primary advantage of doing this was to simply to avoid confusion. When people say they are using 1.9 it's obvious that it was a nightly and not the milestone build.

cool. Note that I sent this here due to the stated eventual preference that releases will be voted on here. This is just a development release or milestone so I doubt it would be subject to this, but I thought it responsible to post it to further the evolution of this process.
PSS: Hopefully my access request will come through so I can publish a myself without having to wait and I can time the announcements correctly.
Brian has already granted your access with the same password as on icarus. Give it a whirl. He also noted that your .forward seems to be malfunctioning. While you're at it you might want to update the web pages (I left that to you so that you would have something to do to try it out)...
