I have been in contact with a software vendor who's interested in incorporating XJavaDoc in one of their products. One of their developers told me that some of their lawyers said XJavaDoc might be violating some Sun license because XJavaDoc is so similar to JavaDoc. I don't know what "clean room" *really* means. Further, I don't know whether being a clean room implementation would be a legal problem either. It's the software vendor I mentioned above that suggested we should worry about it. That's why I'm asking here. I have posted this mail to licensing too.
