Chris ... this is NOT a rant ... I am not venting ... this is a warning, in the
spirit of being a member of this community
that I hope will spare other members of the J community the
undesirable surprise switch from IE6 to IE7.

Do not worry, Chris, I intend to post no further messages on this
topic ... it took
only ONE ringing of the bell ... perhaps you already have IE7, perhaps
not.

Perhaps I am wrong in my belief that other members of this community
would appreciate this heads up ...
some will ... you are obviously not one of them.

respectfully,
                              gerry

P.S.: it was a rant yesterday when I chastised Microsoft directly ... I hope
you can appreciate
         the difference.

Gerry, please do not post any further messages on this topic.

As your subject line indicates, it is off topic for the forum. The
internet provides plenty of outlets where you can vent your frustration
with Microsoft - the J forum is not one of them.
