I ran jee from a simple DOS prompt, outside of emacs, and the problem is
worse
there: I only get as far as
hi=: 0 : 0
then I can enter no more.

The same thing happens for
hi=: 3 : 0

I have to break out of it with Ctl-Break.

So, it looks like a jee problem? If so, it looks like I have to make
the trade-off between either giving up GUI commands or giving
up cut-and-paste into my session.

I'm running this under emacs 21.3 under Windows XP, if that
makes any difference.

Thanks,

Devon

You mean you write or paste it in the *J* buffer then you don't get back a
prompt after the ')\n'? It works fine for me with j5.04:

   hi=: 0 : 0
howdy
pard
)
   hi
howdy
pard

so maybe its a problem with the newest version of jee? Have you tried what
happens if you run it outside of emacs?

cheers,
