The error is caused by a missing "y" in the e-mailed version  which
started this thread.  I did not know this was from a library when I read
the message.

The line quoted here in your error message does not appear in
the calendar function.

If you used the calendar function distributed with J, you would
not have gotten a domain error for that argument.

If your copy of dates.ijs differs from the distributed version, you can
pull the definition of calendar from Tracy Harms' message at the
top of this thread.
