Here's a trick Dan showed me for finding where a name was defined:
require 'dates'
(4!:4{.;:'calendar') {:: 4!:3''
c:\program files\j601\system\main\dates.ijs
Note that this is sometimes misleading. For instance, if I
were to redefine "calendar" in direct definition:
calendar=: 'calendar'
(4!:4{.;:'calendar') {:: 4!:3''
C:\amisc\Jsys\User\Code\MyStrings.ijs
is incorrect; "MyStrings.ijs" is just the last item
in the list:
>{:4!:3 ''
C:\amisc\Jsys\User\Code\MyStrings.ijs

It may be worth noting that I've never seen that
documentation. Not being skilled at J, what I
discovered is that after I load the grid demonstration
this verb is defined. I put the name of the verb in
my console and get the definition. I still have only
a sketchy idea as to where I could look to see how
this came to be defined in my J session.
