After some thought on this subject, I am not sure if I care
about this issue (that p. does not have a built-in parallel
in other languages such as Java or SQL).

Readable J requires the reader be comfortable using
J's dictionary.

Also, I would argue that people with no access to J's
dictionary and interpreter do not understand what +
means.

Consider, for example:
    2+3 4
or
    2+3 4+5 6 7,:8 9
