There have been many problems reported with gij version of java (although
the libjnative.so one is new). I suspect you will be able to run if you
install the current Sun version of Java.

It took me a moment to find your info requests in the labs thread.
I installed file j602a_linux32a.sh
java -version gives:
java version "1.4.2"
gij (GNU libgcj) version 4.2.1 (SUSE Linux)
I did a normal install.
My j602 folder is in my home directory.
I suspect I'm not running Sun Java.
