So, the bottom line is that J602-64 and J701-64 jconsole both support
displaying
the box drawing characters (218 194 191 195 197 180 192 193 217 179 196){a.
Neither jconsole supports displaying the box drawing characters (16+i.11){a.
unless the code page is set to 65001.
If the code page is set to 65001, then the only characters that display as box
drawing characters are (16+i.11){a.
