Well, doing a quick search shows that I have a number of versions of GTK installed in 10 or so J7 binary directories.
I'll get rid of my old beta J7 directories and see if yet another GTK install helps. Also, I followed your earlier advice and, when the Glade install asked if I should install the GTK binaries, I said yes. At the time, you seemed to be suggesting that it would be better if all GTK apps used their own separate GTK binary distributions. The GTK binaries are also installed on my pc with TortiseHg, Wireshark and Inkscape. Is there something I need to do to make sure JGTK, GLADE and all the other GTK-based programs use the correct binary and gtkrc files for each program that needs them? This is beginning to sound like a possible maintenance nightmare.
