I've finally got around to playing with InnoSetup to create a Windows
Installer for J.

The installer includes the Gtk binaries as well as the latest version
of the base library and a selection of addons that I thought were
likely to be useful to new users. So the J Gtk IDE should be
ready-to-use out-of-the-box. The installer also creates an uninstaller
that completely removes the install.

The installer is currently only for a 64-bit installation on Windows
but it should be relatively easy to create a similar one for 32-bit
Windows. I'd be interested in any feedback from those willing to test
the installer.

If you already have a J installation just change the name of program
files sub-folder (e.g. add "test" to the end) and the Start Menu
folder when prompted to ensure you don't affect your existing
installation.

For now I have the installer hosted on my SkyDrive:
