true.  on the other hand the US has a very long history (well before
either of the two Bush administrations) of withholding UN membership
dues whenever we decided that we didn't like the policies or actions of
the entire organization.  That said, the US has never really been a team
player.  Taking your ball and leaving the game when you dont get your
way isn't what i'd define as leadership.
