We had an interesting discussion a few months ago about global warming (warm pro's and con's). The latest studies detailed in the following url appear to refute the notion that the most recent century is significantly warmer than preceding centuries. The article also notes that varying levels of solar activity seem to be the primary factor in the earth's mean temperature even today, not 20th century greenhouse gasses .
