Actually, I used to believe that global warming is indeed occurring -- the reason being that it is now significantly hotter in Singapore (where I live) than in the past. But I came across an article (I forget where) that said that this is not true -- just that the "hot belts" are shifting.

Well, I was in Brunei about 14 years ago, and it was as hot as it is now in Singapore, so I'm more inclined towards that theory.
