You assumed I was trying to dismiss anything. I couldn't care less what
the dubya-loving, enlightened-creationism, red-staters think of the
others parts of the US that provide for the majority of the GDP, have
the majority of highschool & college graduates and pay the largest
percentage of income taxes.
Yeah... right... And Clinton never had sex with Monica... he was too
busy lying to the public to do stuff like that. Right?
Wow, so you need to dig back that far to come up with anything relevant?
I'm quite sure that Clinton did have sex with Monica. And i really
don't care.
Of course you don't because you don't understand the fact that the Lewinsky
scandal was just one more indicator of the walking corpse that is Bill
Clinton's character. And how that utter lack of character predestined him to
be exactly what he was - the worst president in living memory. I'm from
Arkansas, no surprise did I behold.
Just so that I'm clear, you're saying that having an extra-marital
affair is worse than Bush's wars & natural disasters?
He wasn't dragging the country into multiple uncoordinated, unplanned
wars, while leaving it simultaneously completely & utterly unprepared to
deal with internal affairs. He also wasn't on vacation for large chunks
of his term, fiddling as the gulf coast was obliterated.
Balkans. Somalia. Aspirin factory.
The Balkans are stable, thank's to NATO's involvement.
Somalia was a failure from a military perspective. I don't see Bush
doing anything about it, and it remains as much a failed state now as it
was then, if not more so.
Iraq is Bush's aspirin factory. Beating up on an innocent nation under
the guise of trying to prevent terrorism, simply as a distraction (or
perhaps just trying to get revenge for papa-Bush's failure to capture
Hussein years earlier) from the failure to capture bin Laden. Only
difference is that thousands of American citizens didn't die fighting
any wars for Bush.
Dubya's sins and failings during his 5 years are legion. So were Clinton's.
We're heading toward two decades now without a decent president. It shows.
At least we can agree on something.
But it may come as a surprise to note that FEMA has responded in about the
same way they typically do. Takes 4-5 days for them to get going. Hurricane
Andrew is a case in point. And note that the feds can do nothing until asked
by the governor which did not come in a timely fashion. Let's not get started
on the NO mayor. So we have one pseudo Republican and two Democrats all of
whom have hardly made us proud.
So a bad Republican is a "pseudo Replublican"?
The real failing goes farther back. The old local civil defense network was
gutted by FEMA several administrations ago and they told us to leave it all to
them (they're professionals you see <NOT>). So we left it to them and we have
body bags in New Orleans to show for it.
Do you have any data to suggest that Dubya has taken more vacations than other

sitting presidents? Or is this just more insult hurling? Is playing a guitar
somehow less respectable than a saxophone?
Bush was playing a guitar at some pointless public appearance (in yet
another of the long string where only supporters are allowed to
participate) while New Orleans was flooding.
