As some of you may not know already: I'm not a big fan of having IDE files
in project directories ... however, this destillation of the core problem
was inspiring: why do not make the formatter a project itself?

Something like:

<SVN>/projects/pax/codeformatter

to bundle resources and installation guides for various IDEs - and finally
'pax'-ing one more reasons for IDE flame-wars ...

I'm not much of an IDEA user, but in Eclipse this model works. WDYT?
