Hi Rohit, I doubt all kernel patches have been published in tizen.org, and I don't think /dev/dpram/0 is registered for a physical hardware dual port RAM, because from the emulator dmesg, it looks like a virtual dpram (vdparm) driver registers a driver at major nr #249, which is the same as the major nr of /dev/dpram/0, so it makes sense to me that there is a driver loopback 249:0 (/dev/dpram/0) and 249:1 (/dev/vdparm1), so the vmodem daemon (/usr/bin/vmodem_x86) can receive commands from tel-plug-vmodem, and the event injector in Tizen SDK can issue telephony features such as call and sms to the emulator.

Video RAM or VRAM<http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Video_RAM> is a common form of dual-ported dynamic RAM<http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dynamic_random_access_memory> mostly used for video memory, allowing the CPU<http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Central_processing_unit> to draw the image at the same time the video hardware is reading it out to the screen(from wikipedia). So I do not think tel-plugin-vmodem is HAL plugin for the tel-plugin-atmodem. Please correct if I am wrong. I know this plugin, but this plugin is a HAL plugin, not a modem plugin. If the tel - plugin - atmodem obsolete, that could you tell me some new I can reference modem plugin?? thanks & regards kyle > > Hi Kyle/Rohit. > > tel-plugin-atmodem seems to be obsolete now. > > Did you try exploring the following plugin: > > framework/telephony/tel-plugin-imc.git > > Rohit, are you looking to support a specific modem? > > _______________________________________________ General mailing list [email protected]<mailto:[email protected]> https://lists.tizen.org/listinfo/general _______________________________________________ General mailing list [email protected]<mailto:[email protected]> https://lists.tizen.org/listinfo/general
