Subject: Re: Tizen on pandaboard

Hi

I'm using the
[http://download.tizen.org/releases/previews/2.0alpha/ivi-panda/latest/images/ivi-2.0alpha-panda/]

http://download.tizen.org/releases/previews/2.0alpha/ivi-panda/latest/images/ivi-2.0alpha-panda/
tar gz file with my kernel and uboot
I'm able to get file system mounted.

But serial console,I'm not able to get.
I have tried all these
con:12345:respawn:/sbin/getty -L 115200 tty02 vt100
con:12345:respawn:/sbin/getty -L 115200 ttyS0 vt100
 con:12345:respawn:/sbin/getty -L 115200 tty00 vt100

All seems to not work.

Also I have given the following in the /etc/rc.d/rc.sysinit script

/bin/loginLogin name: rootPassword: Tizenand its fails like this

(none) login: root
Password: (Typed Tizen)
Login incorrect

Also getting this on touch screen

Composite warning

"Your screen does not support OpenGL

Falling back to software engine"

Not getting Tizen UI

I understand opengl and drm rpm packages need to be installed through sdb . But
for that, i need to get the console at least.

I appreciate if you can Please help me on this ASAP

Regards
Prasanna

Hi,

Yeah you are right not every project need to be cloned, but I dont have the
list of the necessary projects. If you have, do share the same with me too.

For the build process, I used the same steps that are mentioned at the gbs
reference [https://source.tizen.org/documentation/gbs-build]
https://source.tizen.org/documentation/gbs-build .

First configure the ~/.gbs.conf file with the correct url under tizen repo
field, and then run the following command from inside the tizen directory.

sudo gbs build -A armv7l --include-all

Let me know if there is any problem with this.

Thanks,Vikash.

Hi,

Apologies for replying this late...:)

Ok so for cloning the entire source, I have followed the
[https://source.tizen.org/documentation/cloning-and-building]
https://source.tizen.org/documentation/cloning-and-building only.

Otherwise you can also this,

git clone
ssh://[http://[email protected]:29418/adaptation/alsa-scenario-scn-data-0-base]
 [email protected]:29418/adaptation/alsa-scenario-scn-data-0-base
adaptation/alsa-scenario-scn-data-0-base

You have to clone every package separately, so its a bit troublesome process.
Another way is to use the steps written here
 [http://gitorious.org/tizen-toys/tizen-manifest#more]
http://gitorious.org/tizen-toys/tizen-manifest#more

I didnt tried this because of some internal network problems. But you can try
this also.

For built tizen filesytem, I am using this
[http://download.tizen.org/releases/2.0/tizen-2.0_20130219.4/images/RD-210/RD-210-tizen-2.0_20130219.4.tar.gz]

download.tizen.org/releases/2.0/tizen-2.0_20130219.4/images/RD-210/RD-210-tizen-2.0_20130219.4.tar.gz

For uboot and kernel, I am using ubuntu kernel for Omap board. You can get this
at [http://omappedia.org/wiki/Prebuilt_ubuntu_binaries]
http://omappedia.org/wiki/Prebuilt_ubuntu_binaries

One more thing, I dont know you already tried this or not, but make 3 partition
on your sdcard, for boot, platform and data. 'dd' platform.img and data.img
(you will get this after untaring the above filesystem) over platform and data
partition.

I have tried all this but am also stuck at mounting of the filesystem.

Do let me know if I am wrong at any point.

Thanks,

Vikash
