Hi Jacek,
Several months I also had lthor handshare issue with similar error
message on Ubuntu. The issue was caused by modemmanager. Check the
available options to solve it at the Tizen wiki:
https://wiki.tizen.org/wiki/Troubleshooting_lthor_on_Ubuntu_12.10
Best regards,
Leon

I failed to upgrade the PQ device to tizen 2.2. I'm using VirtualBox
with Ubuntu 13.10 to run lthor tool.
$ LTHOR TIZEN_RD-PQ_SYSTEM_20130716_1.TAR
went OK, but
$ LTHOR TIZEN-2.2_20130719.3_RD-PQ.TAR.GZ
finished about 30% with the message:
"In some cases lthor needs enough memory. Please check free memory in
your host PC and unload some heavy applications"
Since that moment the phone runs with the message:
"A mistake was made while downloading, a binary should be downloaded
again."
I have added more memory to VM (0.5GB to 2GB) and tried to flash
again. When I connect the cable, phone switches to Download mode, but
lhor returns:
$ LTHOR TIZEN-2.2_20130719.3_RD-PQ.TAR.GZ

There is also the message in dmesg (when the phone is connected) that
I suppose was no there before upgrade:
CDC_ACM 1-2:1.0: THIS DEVICE CANNOT DO CALLS ON ITS OWN. IT IS NOT A
MODEM.
I have read the page: https://bugs.tizen.org/jira/browse/TDIST-580
[1] but there is no exact solution.
The s-boot (Vol-Up + Vol-Down + Pwr) loads properly, what can I check
there?
What else can I do to run the device?
Thanks in advance,
Jacek
