Correct me if I'm wrong but my understanding is that Gear can only communicate with a device which has SAP (Samsung Accessory Protocol): http://developer.samsung.com/samsung-gear So the real question is: will Tizen Common have SAP ? The theme of this conference is the "Internet of Things". If our giveaway consists of 2 devices which don't talk to each other, I see a slight contradiction here.
Off-topic but if the Intel NUC is not able to run Tizen native "Samsung/OSP" apps, that's another contradiction. Samsung and Intel are great companies but the proof is in the pudding: let's see if Tizen Common goes beyond your short-term interests.
