I plead guilty of not having tried both standard and quirks mode (I
totally forgot about it) when working on timeplot (I always used quirks
mode), so it's entirely my fault for that.

Now, that said, I honestly have no idea about what I'm doing that is so
'quirky' about absolute positioning of <div> labels.

Anybody has any idea?
