hi,
i saw the FAQ entry right after having posted here, so sorry for
stating the known. unfortunately i don't know much javascript and just
googling - which you already did i guess - didn't turn up much.
so the only thing i can share is that i found it easier than expected
to have turbogears/kid (the application framework i'm using) strip
doctype declarations: just pass fragment=True to the expose decorator
of the template in question.
