Hi Ritchie,

Timeline 1.2 does not include SimileAjax, which means it does not
include JQuery. (So I don't know why you are seeing conflicts with your
JQuery version.)

Timeline 2.0 includes SimileAjax 2.0, which includes JQuery 1.2.1.
Timeline 2.0 is available at
    http://static.simile.mit.edu/timeline/api-2.0/timeline-api.js
and checked into SVN at
    http://simile.mit.edu/repository/timeline/trunk/

Exhibit 2.0 uses Timeline 2.0, which allows for the "coordinator"
feature where, for example, in
    http://simile.mit.edu/exhibit/examples/presidents/presidents-2.html
clicking on a marker on the map would pop up a bubble for the
corresponding event on the timeline, and vice versa.

Hope that helps! Let us know if you get it to work.

David
