(CC'ing the devel mailing list...)

Thanks for the suggestions, but most of them are already being addressed
in our design (although the website hasn't been updated in a while...).

Actually, I do have a registered copy of this package. I like the
reporting capabilities in it, especially the full journal report.
Unfortunately, there isn't a version that runs on Linux, which is my
preferred operating system. I've found that I like the approach used in
The Master Genealogist best, especially when I have resources that show
conflicting dates for events like birth, but lacking a version for Linux
(or any UN*X, for that matter), and a desire to work on a fun project at
home, I launched Genes.

This is something that I haven't looked very far into yet. We're working
on building a package where every piece of data is optional for the
software, but we need to investigate how to make Temple Ready data for
submission. It shouldn't be too difficult (he said with a grin...)...

On the database schema that is linked from the website (at
http://genes.sourceforge.net/dbschema.html), the chi_relationship field
will address this.

These two items are taken care of as events. Since every person can have
any arbitrary number of events in the database (from 0 to infinity,
limited only by hard drive space), there is room to supply multiples of
each of these. For one of my own ancestors, his body was buried, exhumed,
stored in an attic for three years (talk about skeletons in the closet!),
and then reburied in a different cemetery, so I will DEFINITELY make sure
that we can do this...

Thanks! We need all the help that we can get.
