Hello, I noticed there's a good deal of similarity between certain Knowngene tags that have a similarity in name, such as uc003dwv.1 and uc003dwu.1, in the UCSC human genome sequence, at least for the 3' UTR sequences I'm attempting to reference. Can you explain whether it is because they are in fact the same gene or some other reason? More specifically, is there a way to sort out these copies to attain one Knowngene tag for each unique gene?
