Hi Chris,

We have plans to eventually release melGal1 (Turkey 2.01), but I can't give you
an exact release date as there are other assemblies that have higher priority.
We do have plans to eventually add a conservation track containing Chicken,
Turkey and Zebra finch and the corresponding chain/net tracks.

To find out when it is released you can subscribe to our low volume
announcement mailing list:

If you have further questions, feel free to contact the mailing list.

Subject: [Genome] Turkey Alignments Available?

Hi,

Ensembl released a new genome assembly for turkey (Meleagris gallopavo) a few
days ago (Febuary 1st 2011) in Ensembl Release 61. I was wondering if UCSC have
done, or are planning to do, any whole genome pairwise alignments involving
Turkey (e.g. Chicken-Turkey or Zebra Finch-Turkey). If so, when will such
alignments be available, and how could I access them?

Many thanks in advance for your help,

Chris
