Hi Orly,

We do not have any plans to remove the canFam1 browser any time in the
near future. Also, we cannot begin creating a canFam3 genome browser
until after the reference sequence is officially deposited in GenBank.
So, rest assured that none of the current data on the site will go missing.

We see that build 131 SNPs are available at dbSNP for canFam2. The
feasibility of adding a SNP track to canFam2 was discussed, and we would
definitely like to do it. However, we currently have quite a long
project list, and a lot of things will take precedence. So, I can't
give you time frame yet.

Thank you for letting us know that this track would be useful to the
Canine genomics and genetics community.

which is not convenient to say the least.
