Ricky,

I am sorry to hear that. I belive the problem is that CentOS uses a
very old glibc version (2.5), which isn't compatible with newer gcc
versions. By adding ">sys-devel/gcc-4.2.4-r01.4" to package.mask I was
able to sucessfully compile everything (using gcc-4.2.4-r01.4).
