I wouldn't accept it. There's really no point for it. I'd suggest not trying to come up with new functionality for catalyst, since it likely will not be accepted. I am about to branch catalyst to start working on new features, and part of that branch is going to be replacing a lot of code, so anything that you write now will likely be unusable in the newer catalyst.
