That's nice. I'm also using it on a couple of boxes. I also have several
boxes that can't even begin to use an unpatched 2.6.x because of compile
errors. I have another box that locks solid on heavy filesystem
operations under 2.6.x. From several hours in #gentoo, and from reading
lkml, I can tell you that I am not alone.

It does. vanilla- reflects the current state of the kernel.org 2.4.xx
series. development- reflects the current state of the kernel.org
2.[56].xx series.

Remember: 2.4.xx development is not at an end.

Now, if you'd like a rename for either package, then that's an entirely
different issue...
