I can confirm the first issue. Though I don't use gpm, so in X it just doesn't work. Also in my XF86Config I had to change my mouse type from "auto" to "IMPS/2" because apparently "auto" doesn't work as it did in 2.4. Have no experience with the second issue. I can confirm the third issue to varying degrees. My USB pen drive works fine, but my Archos Jukebox does not (sees it as a usb-storage device, but I get no device node under defvs). My USB floppy is recognized, but sometimes it says the filesystem is readonly when it's not. About 2 out of 3 times it thinks it's read-only.
