My point was to look and see what ebuilds could only survive *because* there was a cached copy on the mirror. So if tomorrow the mirrors are all wiped out because the anti-mirror-new-year's-day-massacre occurs (please, please, that is a joke) we have a heads up that there will be at least a few ebuilds that will simply stop working - or at least a few versions (foo-1.2 vs foo-2.0).
