Indeed, but maintainers are often not aware. A reliable list of broken 
SRC_URIs would be useful.

Additionally, most SRC_URIs are updated when updating the ebuild; it'd 
be beneficial to also make sure the SRC_URI for old ebuilds is valid if 
the file still exists upstream.
