Brandon and I are looking for desktop goals for the next year. Where would you like to see the Gentoo desktop go? What's been done poorly, what's been done well?
Wireless networking needs serious work. Right now in stable, there's no infrastructure for connecting to wireless networks on boot. My home network and my school network are both wireless, so whenever I move my laptop, I have to go in and manually edit the net.eth1 script and change the iwconfig line I put in there. This is either before I move it, or after I've moved it and booted and waited for the current network to time out.
