DNS resolution doesn´t work for me correctly. when searching for a site, the answer is something like:

Trying "www.test.at"
Using domain server:
Name: 131.130.1.11
Address: 131.130.1.11#53

so, i think the problem here is, that this is not a recursive query, but an iterative one. is there any config option for the resolver (e.g. in /etc/resolv.conf) to send out recursive queries and not iterative ones? i currently solved the problem by installing bind on my computer(as a caching only server), but i think there must be a simpler solution (and i don´t want to have bind running all the time). am i missing something?

thanks in advance, florian
