Hello. Did anyone managed to get ALSA working for via8233? I followed the instructions given in "The ALSA Configuration Guide" found on gentoo.org, but it didn't work. Eventually I decided to compile it manually -as a result all necessary modules can be inserted, but I can't hear the music when playing mpg321/123 or ogg123. I did unmuted all channels! What else could go wrong? I compiled ALSA 0.9.0rc7 and 0.9.0rc3 (which worked fine with my slackware) with gcc-3.2.2.
