Hi.
I turned volume up and loaded all modules, including snd-pcm-oss and
snd-mixer-oss. As far as installation and setup is concerned everything
seems ok. Building ALSA manually I follow the instructions found on
www.alsa-project.org -everything seems ok, too. But when I try to play
some music -there's an error:

ALSA snd_pcm_hw_params_set_period_size error: Invalid argument

and mpg321 still works like nothing happened. Unfortunately I can't hear
anything... I dont really understand it and don't know how to cope with
it.

I can add this -to ensure, it's ok:

snd-seq-oss 28480 0 (unused)
snd-seq-midi-event 3304 0 [snd-seq-oss]
snd-seq 37840 2 [snd-seq-oss snd-seq-midi-event]
snd-via82xx 8972 0
snd-ac97-codec 30404 0 [snd-via82xx]
snd-mpu401-uart 3152 0 [snd-via82xx]
snd-rawmidi 13888 0 [snd-mpu401-uart]
snd-seq-device 4268 0 [snd-seq-oss snd-seq snd-rawmidi]
snd-pcm-oss 38340 0 (autoclean)
snd-pcm 60480 0 (autoclean) [snd-via82xx snd-pcm-oss]
snd-timer 11112 0 (autoclean) [snd-seq snd-pcm]
snd-mixer-oss 12728 0 (autoclean) [snd-pcm-oss]
snd 27372 0 (autoclean) [snd-seq-oss
snd-seq-midi-event snd-seq snd-via82xx snd-ac97-codec snd-mpu401-uart
snd-rawmidi snd-seq-device snd-pcm-oss snd-pcm snd-timer snd-mixer-oss]
soundcore 3876 5 (autoclean) [snd]

I'll be grateful for any help
