Yes I have read your email. I have decided to install the sb live card and
disable the onboard sound. This is the seems the easyist way for me with my
level of knowledge and clear step by step instructions that I have been able
to find. I am hoping to do the card install and kernel rebuild tomorrow. This
should clear up all my hardware problems due to bad kernel configuration
options picks by me. But then this is the first time in 5 years of running
linux that I have ever compiled a kernel. I am just pleased as punch that I
have gotten this far, and I can not say enough for the help I have gotten in
just a short time from this list, the forums, and the irc channels. All the
Gentoo people have been knowledgeable and very friendly. My thanks to the
Community.

Ralph

PS. Some one mentioned that there were two orther setting in the Bios that
needed to be touched besides just the Sound option. Unfortunetly I have lost
that email so can not ask what the gent was refering too. Do you have any
idea?
