Is there something unstable about some of the recent kernel releases.  I
keep hearing this same old (from my perspective, at least) tired
response that you need to have ide-scsi as a module to get scsi
emulation to work for CD writers.  I've always used built-in for both
ide-scsi and scsi emulation, and I've never had the slightest problem,
other than initially when the devfsd.conf entries were not correct.

What's the scoop?
