Florian, Hi. Thanks. That's helpful, if a bit scary. Brand new build. No backups. etc-update looks like it will possibly overwrite my existing make.conf, which is the only one I've edited so far, so I think I should back that one up. Or should I use this -5 option and then handle it after the fact? I'm trying to learn, but don't want to hose the setup and have to start over. Thanks very much!
