It might be your USE flags. If you hae gnome in it then it will build it with gnome stuff enabled. Try adding -gnome to the USE flag and see what happens.

Besides, what does oxine or xine-ui need ANY gnome stuff or xmms stuff for? Could it be because of my xmms USE flag? Could that be why it wants to muck with my GNOME ebuilds?
