Every now and then life interferes with my computing. It did so again this week, so I was delayed in getting back to you all.

Changing this to a valid FQDN changed the problem to it wanting to send mail to whatever machine I listed. I get the same error message, though, for that machine if it does not have a MTA running. > 2. What MTA (if at all) are you running? Well, I didn't *think* I was running any of them. Based on the ps -ef I ran there were no processes that grep could find a match to "ssmtp", "mtp", "mail" or "smtp". However, a look at the emerge log showed that I had added ssmtp. So I unmerged it and the problem went away. Just for information sake, does anyone know what I'd look for in a 'ps -ef' output that would show the MTA? Thanks again for the help.
