Did you try to use gcc-2.95 to compile the NVidia grap? I remember it
worked on Debian, when i had to do it.

That is correct. Alsa really works with this NVidia SoundCard, but it is
no help for the nvnet device.

I solved this problem by using a 3com card and alsa. I only use the
NVidia Grafic drivers and they compile without any problem.
