why did you chose the older driver? according to this list, more recent versions of the driver have been released: http://www.nvidia.com/object/linux_nforce_archive.html .

did you have problems with the more recent ones?

I'm runnind a Leadtek K7NCR18D-pro here, different board but the same nic and sound. I too had problems with the ebuilds for nvaudio and nvnet but have had good luck with the drivers from Nvidia's site: http://www.nvidia.com/object/linux_nforce_1.0-0248.html Spdif works with the latest driver too. -- Regards, Ernie 100% Microsoft and Intel free
